September 2014—Pall Life Sciences’ Acrodisc WBC premium syringe filter is a filtration device designed specifically for use in the capture and recovery of leukocytes and the separation of red blood cells. The Acrodisc WBC filter contains the company’s patented Leukosorb media. Leukosorb is a fibrous matrix that uses a multimodal approach of size exclusion and adsorption to capture and recover leukocytes from whole blood samples while allowing red blood cells and platelets to flow through the membrane.
Applications for the syringe filter include antigenic specificity and modulation studies, immune receptor analysis, lymphocyte recovery for cell therapy, and stem cell research.
