June 2015—The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded a third U.S. patent to BioDot for its FISHArray technology and methods. BioDot’s patent family broadly covers technology and methods for performing multiple fluoresence in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, and cytogenetic tests on a single substrate, whether performed manually or through automated workstations, such as the company’s CellWriter Workstation.

“FISH and karyotyping assays have historically been performed as a one assay, one slide paradigm. The FISHArray technology and methods show labs that huge economic benefits can be realized through miniaturization,” said Tom Tisone, CEO of BioDot.
