FDA clears Rheonix Encompass MDx for STIs

April 2022–Rheonix announced that the FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for its automated Encompass MDx Workstation along with its STI TriPlex assay and Male Urine Collection Kit for the detection of sexually transmitted infections. The molecular testing device is a closed system that is automated from sample loading to result reporting, provides direct tube sampling, and contains all the reagents needed.

Rheonix rapid molecular COVID-19 test receives EUA

June 2020—Rheonix announced it has received FDA emergency use authorization for the Rheonix COVID-19 MDx Assay. The fully automated test enables detection of SARS-CoV-2 directly from respiratory samples and runs on the Rheonix Encompass MDx workstation. The workstation is suitable for use in low- to medium-throughput labs and enables same-day results.

June 2016—Rheonix, in collaboration with New York University College of Dentistry, has received funding from a Small Business Innovation Research Phase I/II Fast-track grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research of the National Institutes of Health to develop a rapid diagnostic for Zika virus infection.
