Diagnostic BioSystems added a new chromogen to its color spectrum—PermaBlack/HRP. This HRP-based substrate/chromogen system produces a sharply contrasting ebony black stain, which serves as a useful tool in immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization staining procedures.

Diagnostic BioSystems’ anti-PIN5 cocktail helps distinguish prostate cancer from benign conditions that mimick cancer. The cocktail works through the combined detection of p504S, p40, and high molecular-weight cytokeratin markers. The markers are particularly relevant in helping to diagnose prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia. The markers also offer utility in difficult cases where tissue may be limited.

Diagnostic BioSystems’ PermaYellow/horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a substrate-chromogen system designed for immunohistochemistry or in situ hybridization when using horseradish peroxidase. PermaYellow/HRP produces a distinct bright yellow color that can be distinguished easily from other stains.
