AvanSci Bio has expanded its product line for dissecting slide-mounted tissue sections with its 2iD Scope and 2iD Cam for digital annotation of the areas to be dissected and xScision reagents for slide deparaffinization and dissection from paraffinized tissue sections. These new products, along with the company’s existing products for slide-mounted tissue mesodissection, provide a workflow solution capable of replacing manual slide-mounted tissue dissection for most pathology applications.
The 2iD Cam captures digital microscopic images of slide-mounted tissue sections. The 2iD Scope microscope has 6Χ to 45Χ (total magnification) continuous zoom capability and an integrated digital camera that captures the entire field of view. Both systems work with expanded 2iD imaging software to provide pathologists with a quick and easy method to annotate areas to be dissected and allow seamless integration with the dissection lab workflow using the company’s mesodissection system.
