July 2018—PLUGS (Patient-centered Laboratory Utilization Guidance Services) and Metis Genetics announced a partnership to provide case review services via Gene­Test­Advisor, a case management solution for genetic testing to support health care systems and insurance payers in effectively administering their genetic testing caseload. Metis and PLUGS, a Seattle Children’s Hospital program, will provide this service to laboratories across the PLUGS network. PLUGS is a laboratory stewardship collaborative to help laboratories improve test ordering, retrieval, interpretation, and reimbursement.
