November 2014—Eppendorf has launched the Mastercycler Nexus X2, a molecular biology instrument for researchers looking to carry out two PCR reactions simultaneously, without compromising the number of samples. The instrument is composed of two asymmetric blocks, consisting of 64 and 32 wells, which can be programmed and run independently. With reduced noise emission (< 40 dB), low power consumption, and a small footprint, the Mastercycler Nexus X2 is suited for use in busy academic laboratories or institutions with multiple users.
