September 2018—Leica Biosystems introduced the Bond Rx next-generation research stainer. The system offers greater flexibility when optimizing conditions for a variety of test types including immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence in situ hybridization, tyramide signal amplification, multiplexing, and other emerging tests.

Bond Rx allows users to customize dewax options by adding or subtracting as many dewax steps as needed, choose from six probe application and removal protocols, and select the dispense type from three reagent flow options. Reagents are illuminated and provide clear visual alerts. The version 6.0 software features a highly visual user interface with easy to identify iconography.
