Evogen has entered into a nonexclusive license agreement with Focus Diagnostics granting worldwide rights to incorporate Evogen HyBeacons PCR probe technology into Focus Diagnostics’ molecular diagnostic products and services.
HyBeacons sequence-specific hybridization probes contain two fluorophores per probe, thereby creating a robust fluorescent signal. Since HyBeacons are not hydrolyzed during PCR amplification, positive confirmation of the amplicon is available by high-definition melt-curve analysis. HyBeacons provide clear quantitative data during amplification.
