May 2016—With a grant from Innovate UK, Affymetrix will develop a health and economic benefits assessment for replacing surveillance cystoscopies with noninvasive genomic profiling from urinary cell-free DNA using the OncoScan FFPE Assay Kit. Identifying genomic changes in a noninvasive fashion would allow for improved patient well-being as well as deliver significant cost savings for the UK National Health System.
