November 2017—Binding Site’s Immunologicals Group has added two varicella zoster virus antigens to its line of products for in vitro diagnostic manufacturing and research applications. Both the standard VZV antigen and the VZV glycoprotein antigen have been designed for use as integral components within solid phase enzyme immunoassay test procedures. The antigens aim to benefit the needs of biopharmaceutical, clinical, drug-discovery, and life science researchers, as well as manufacturers of IVD test kits.
Both VZV antigens exhibit exceptional purity levels as a result of chromatography techniques and demonstrate exceptional lot-to-lot consistencies while displaying the highest degrees of activity and specificity, according to the company. Shelf-life stability is 10 years from the date of manufacture. The antigens are offered in a standard size 1.0-mg filled vial; larger, bulk configurations are also available.
