Tosoh G8 now connects to Sysmex XN-9000, XN-9100 systems

January 2024—Tosoh Bioscience has entered into an agreement with Sysmex America in which its HLC-723G8 automated glycohemoglobin analyzers can be connected to Sysmex XN-9000 and XN-9100 automated hematology systems in the United States, Latin America, and Canada. With this agreement, Tosoh says it aims to expand its HbA1c offering to the high-volume testing market and further automate hemoglobin A1c testing.

Benchtop automated immunoassay analyzer, 6/16

June 2016—The AIA-900 Benchtop model is now available from Tosoh. The AIA-900 uses Tosoh’s Unit Dose Test Cup reagent technology. Single, unitized test cups do not require premixing, premeasuring, or onboard refrigeration. The AIA-Pack test cup format works with every Tosoh AIA automated immunoassay system. Reagents are interchangeable, so laboratories with more than one Tosoh system can use the same reagents.

HPLC analyzer, 3/14

March 2014—The Tosoh G8 (Tosoh Automated Glycohemoglobin Analyzer HLC-723G8) has been cleared by the FDA as the first high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) instrument for use as an aid in diagnosing diabetes and identifying patients who may be at risk for developing diabetes. The Tosoh G8 was initially cleared in 2008 as a diabetes monitoring device; the intended use has now been expanded to screening as well.
