December 2014—Advanced Cell Diagnostics has been awarded a two-year, $1.4 million grant from the National Cancer Institute under its Small Business Innovation Research Grant phase two program. ACD and its academic partner, Cleveland Clinic, will use the grant to develop and validate a diagnostic test based on ACD’s proprietary RNAscope technology for discriminating various B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas from benign lymphoproliferative diseases.

December 2013—Definiens AG, a health care company that advances personalized medicine through image-analysis and digital pathology solutions, and Advanced Cell Diagnostics (ACD), a provider of products and services for molecular pathology, announced the commercial launch of RNAscope SpotStudio, a custom-designed image-analysis software application for ACD’s RNAscope assays to detect and quantify RNA biomarkers.

Advanced Cell Diagnostics has entered into an agreement with Johns Hopkins University on behalf of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, whereby ACD’s RNAscope technology will be used to validate novel biomarkers and drug targets for cancer immunotherapy.
