October 2017—Seegene presented its Seegene Random Access System at the 69th AACC Annual Clinical Lab Expo in San Diego. The system provides order to report on the same day by simultaneously performing high multiplex real-time PCR testing on a single platform, regardless of specimen type or assays.

It also aims to provide a solution to the limitations of molecular diagnostic assays that require different extraction methods, different reagent types, and different PCR conditions, which make simultaneous testing on a single instrument impossible.

The Seegene Random Access System can test more than 100 assays under an identical, universal PCR condition on a single instrument platform and incorporates a universal nucleic acid extraction protocol that is applicable to all specimen types, such as blood, urine, stool, and sputum.
