Aug. 17, 2016—Leica Biosystems announced the integration of its Cerebro Sample Tracking System with Psyche Systems’ WindoPath and NucleoLIS products. The aim of this collaboration is to increase the efficiency and quality of laboratory pathology services by reducing the number of clicks and data-entry steps for users.

“Cerebro enables laboratories to track each sample through every step of the process. Critically, it measures and monitors performance metrics,” Puneet Sarin, vice president and general manager of Leica Biosystems Pathology Imaging Business, said in a statement. “This integration of Cerebro with Psyche‘s products will help laboratories achieve significant improvements in patient safety and laboratory productivity.”

“WindoPath and NucleoLIS are leading lab information systems for pathology and molecular workflow with, among other things, customized results reports, and the capability to place orders online,” Psyche Systems CEO Lisa-Jean Clifford said in a statement. “We are pleased to collaborate with Leica Biosystems to provide better customer experiences and outcomes through the integration of our products.“
