Randox Laboratories has received FDA approval for its Acusera immunoassay specialty 1 control for use in U.S. laboratories.
The multi-analyte, lyophilized control contains I-25-(OH)2-vitamin D, 25-OH-vitamin D, C peptide, insulin, insulin-like growth factor-1, procalcitonin, parathyroid hormone, anti-thyroglobulin, and anti-thyroperoxidase.
Acusera immunoassay specialty control 1 is an assayed quality control that is suitable for use with most immunoassay analyzers. Assigned values are provided for all nine immunoassay parameters. When reconstituted, this control will remain stable for up to five days at 2°C to 8°C or four weeks at -20°C.
Routine use of the Acusera immunoassay specialty 1 control will enable laboratories to monitor the precision of their test methods.
