September 2017—Diatron displayed its Aquila three-part differential hematology analyzer at the 69th AACC annual meeting in San Diego. Specifically designed for the decentralized laboratory, this small analyzer has low reagent consumption of less than 12 mL, requires less than 20 µL of whole blood, and has a throughput of up to 60 samples per hour. The onboard reagent pack, sufficient for approximately 200 measurements, reduces storage space and aims to reduce shipping costs. The Aquila can be used in small laboratories as well as in many point-of-care applications and features a large touchscreen, an intuitive user interface, an optional back-up battery pack, and extended connectivity options.
