At the AACC show 2016

October 2016—DRG International showcased its Aldosterone ELISA kit for the measurement of aldosterone in serum, plasma, and urine. Aldosterone regulates levels of sodium and potassium in the body and controls blood pressure as well as fluids and electrolytes in the blood. Measurement of aldosterone levels in serum in conjunction with plasma renin levels (aldosterone/renin ratio) can be used to differentiate between primary and secondary aldosteronism, which is vital in the treatment and management of the disease. The kit is available worldwide and is for research use only in the United States.

DRG featured four other assays as well, including the DRG Hepcidin 25 (bioactive) HS (high sensitive) ELISA kit, which accurately detects bioactive hepcidin levels as an additional marker to aid in identifying a variety of disorders. A large number of publications identify hepcidin as a factor in regulating the amount of iron in humans. Unbalanced iron levels can lead to many common medical conditions, including anemia and iron overload disease, and can occur in chronic kidney disease, inflammation, or diabetes mellitus. The kit is available worldwide, is CE marked, and is for research use only in the U.S.

The newly Optimized DRG Saliva ELISA Assays are easy-to-use, noninvasive sampling test kits for the measurement of the free (unbound) fraction of steroids. The tests aim to allow for simple, patient-friendly measurement of hormone profiles and include DHEA, cortisol,
estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone. The DRG 25-OH Vitamin D (total) ELISA is an enzyme immunoassay for the measurement of total 25-OH vitamin D (vitamin D2 and vitamin D3) in both serum and plasma. It is for research use only in the U.S. but is pending FDA approval and is CE marked. The DRG Renin active ELISA test is accurate in testing for certain types of hypertension, including during pregnancy.
