October 2017—Baebies, a Durham, NC–based company focused on advancing newborn screening and pediatric testing, has signed a bilateral distribution agreement with Trivitron’s Labsystems Diagnostics to deliver newborn screening solutions to several markets worldwide. Baebies will distribute Labsystems’ newborn screening products NeoMass AAAC and NS 2400 in the United States after obtaining regulatory clearance. NeoMass AAAC, for tandem MS, enables detection of all urea cycle abnormalities. NS 2400 is a fully integrated, high-throughput platform to perform enzymatic assays and immunoassays.
Labsystems, based in Finland, will distribute Baebies’ Seeker platform internationally. Seeker is an FDA-approved and CE-marked high-throughput system for newborn screening configured to perform testing for certain lysosomal storage diseases.
