July 2014—Biocare Medical expanded its automated instrumentation offering with the Oncore Automated Slide Staining System. The Oncore is a compact benchtop instrument that performs both immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization tests on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. Onboard capabilities include baking, deparaffinization, antigen retrieval, and antibody or probe detection for IHC, ISH, and Multiplex IHC applications. The system will be accompanied by a suite of proprietary primary antibodies, IHC, and ISH reagents.
